HEMPSTEAD, NY - After sweeping UConn, last week, Hofstra's 7-3 record was enough needed to clinch the District II title. #8 seeded Hofstra will face off against #1 Virginia Commonwealth University of District III in Game 1 of the World Series on Friday, May 15 at 7PM. The NCBA DII World Series takes place at Pullman Park in Butler, PA.

In other action in the World Series, #4 Coastal Carolina will take on #5 Penn State D2 at 10am, #3 LSC Kingwood faces 2008 World Series Champions #6 Kentucky at 1PM, and #2 Wyoming battles against #7 SIU Carbondale at 4PM.
